I originally found inspiration for the song idea because we were expecting a baby boy in August, 2020. I wanted to write a song for and about him, and for his mom, and as a way to thank friends and family for support. Little did we know that the birth of our child would turn into a traumatic experience for all three of us, which resulted in two emergency surgeries for mom, an extended stay in the Neonatal ICU for our newborn, and spending a week in the hospital, all during the COVID-19 pandemic with no visitors. The outpouring of love from friends and family was what got us through this ordeal, and this song gained a deeper meaning because of it. I hope you feel all the love in this song.
